Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was visibly tired in the aftermath of Game 4 after yet another virtuoso performance against the Denver Nuggets.
The King, however, understands just how important he is to the Purple and Gold’s quest to get that 17th championship banner this season. With that said, LeBron revealed that he cannot afford to show an ounce of fatigue for the Lakers, especially during the crucial stretch of yet another scarily-close match against the dangerous Nuggets team.

LeBron James has been superhuman for so long that people often forget that he is now 35 years old and is on his 17th season in the league. Yet, he continues to play heavy minutes for the Frank Vogel-mentored Lakers and always comes through when the team needs him the most. With a star-studded cast around him, LeBron can actually turn off the switch from time to time. But that’s not in his DNA.
It’s understandable for James to appear weary shortly after the final horn sounded since he practically chased around the Nuggets’ best scorer, Jamal Murray, in the closing minutes of the game. His valiant defensive paid dividends, as the Lakers weathered Denver’s late surge and ran away with a 114-108 win and a 3-1 series lead.
The 4-time MVP once again did it all for the Purple and Gold, tallying marvelous numbers of 26 points, nine rebounds, and eight dimes in 38 minutes. James also knocked down 7 of his 18 field goals and made one of his three triples. It will be in the Lakers’ best-interest to close out the Nuggets in Game 5, just so the battle-tested James can have ample time to rest.
