As you can see, Bol receives a pass from another extremely talented young player on the roster in Michael Porter Jr., which gives the Nuggets two of the highest-upside young players who have the potential to be two of the biggest draft steals in NBA history relative to where they were selected.
When combined with All-NBA center Nikola Jokic, who was selected in the 50’s of the NBA Draft, the Nuggets certainly know how to make a high-value pick late in the draft.
Bol was selected 44th overall in the 2019 NBA Draft after his medicals were seemingly a concern for every team that picked before the Nuggets, but his college production was certainly staggering: In only nine games for the Oregon Ducks, Bol put up 21 points per game to go along with 9.6 rebounds per contest, 1.0 assists and an impressive 2.7 blocks.
Perhaps most important in the modern NBAâs pace-and-space era, Bol shot a staggering 52 percent from downtown (on only 25 total attempts), but his shooting touch at 7â2â was perhaps his most attractive and tantalizing trait.
