Two-way forward Deonte Burton and the Oklahoma City Thunder have agree to a multi-year contract, converting him to a full NBA agreement, according to Shams Charania of Stadium.
Burton, 25, is averaging 3.1 points and 1.0 rebounds in 8.7 minutes in 23 games off the bench for the Thunder this season, shooting 43.9 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the 3-point arc and 75.0 percent from the free-throw line.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound guard out of Iowa State, played in South Korea last season for Wonju Dongbu Promy in the Korean Basketball League. In 63 games (all starts), Burton averaged 23.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.65 steals and 1.03 blocked shots in 31.1 minutes. He shot 47.1 percent from the field.
Burton transferred to Iowa State after spending two years at Marquette.
