Devin Booker is one of the best shooters and scorers in the league. Now, the Suns have to surround the star with more talent so the franchise can start winning more games.
In 51 games this season, Booker is averaging 24.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 6.6 assists. The Michigan native is shooting 45.8 percent from the field, 32.9 percent from beyond the arc and 86.5 percent from the free-throw line.
Despite Booker putting up stellar numbers this season, the Suns are just 15-51 on the year, which is the worst record in the Western Conference. The team snapped a 17-game losing streak on Feb. 23 after they defeated the Atlanta Hawks.
Phoenix is currently on a three-game winning steak and has won four out of its last five games.
Booker signed a five-year, $158 million maximum contract extension with the Suns last season. The scoring guard is worth every penny of that deal. Back in the 2016-17 season, Booker scored a whopping 70 points against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden. That was the night Booker introduced himself to the NBA and he’s hasn’t looked back since.
