All children deserve a chance to reach their full potential regardless of their circumstances. The Fannie C. Harris Youth Drop in Center in partnership with the CitySquare TRAC program, Dallas ISD and the Mavs Foundation is doing just that. The space is designed to provide homeless youth and children aging out of the foster system with a safe place equipped with the tools they need to set themselves up for their next phase in life. Yesterday I was fortunate enough to spend the afternoon hearing what some of these young people have planned for their futures and how they plan on using the space and I was truly inspired. Before even graduating a lot of them already have plans for how they want to help their community through service and education.
