Kendrick Nunn has opted into his $5.25 million contract for the 22-23 season with the Los Angeles Lakers. Nunn missed the entire 21-22 season due to an ankle injury and a slow to heal bone bruise.
During his exit interview with reporters in April, Nunn announced his plan to return to Los Angeles.
"Knowing that I just took this entire year off, it's a no-brainer for me to opt in," Nunn said.
Nunn's decision puts the Lakers at five guaranteed contracts on the books for next season, along with LeBron James , Anthony Davis , Talen Horton-Tucker and Austin Reaves .
