Butler has now been hit with the hefty fine, which will likely make him think twice about humping the air if sidelined again during the NBA Playoffs. Of course, this isn’t the first time that Butler has raised eyebrows for such a gesture, as he also made a similar motion after an and-1 play in last year’s regular season.
Perhaps the Heat star will use the fine as motivation in his upcoming series against the winner of the Philadelphia 76ers and Toronto Raptors series.
