According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Carter–who was a restricted free agent–has agreed to a three-year, $11.5 million deal to stay with the Suns.

Jevon Carter is heading into his third year in the league and his second with the Suns. He was originally selected in the second round of the 2018 draft with the 32nd overall pick by the Memphis Grizzles. He primarily played with the Memphis Hustle, the Grizzlies’ G League affiliate, before being traded to Phoenix during the 2019 offseason.
The Suns are looking to improve following a 34-39 season in 2019-20. The main focal point for Phoenix in 2020 would be the signing of Chris Paul, which they hope will help them get into the playoffs for the first time in over a decade. Phoenix’s last playoff appearance occurred during the 2009-10 season when Amar’e Stoudemire was still on the team.
Phoenix has also signed Jae Crowder to a three-year deal worth around $30 million. With the recent signings and a young core of Deandre Ayton and Devin Booker, the Suns look to be a team on the rise. It will not be an easy road, however, with the Western Conference loaded with talent on multiple franchises.
