The Minnesota Timberwolves were not invited to the NBA Bubble for the restart of the season, but the Wolves are already holding team workouts to prepare for next season. One player who wonât be present at the team facilities, however, is forward Juancho Hernangomez. Â
According to Chris Hine of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Hernangomez will miss the teamâs voluntary workouts for two weeks to film a movie. The 24-year old Spaniard will instead be on set in Philadelphia for âHustle,â a film starring Adam Sandler and produced by LeBron Jamesâ SpringHill Entertainment Company, which is joining forces with Sandlerâs Happy Madison Productions for the project. The filmâs plot centers on a basketball scout who looks for talent overseas before discovering a once in a lifetime player.Â
Timberwolves president Gersson Rosas, according to Hine, clarified that Hernangomez was attached to the project before he knew that the NBA would allow team workouts for the eight teams that did not make the playoffs or get invited to Disney World for the seasonâs restart.Â
