In light of great demand, or at least a few requests, the Cavaliers are returning to the 1990s. And this time, it won’t be the ’90s of Lenny Wilkens and the team that kept losing to Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls.
Instead, the Cavs are throwing it back to the coach Mike Fratello era, as they will be bringing back the black-and-blue uniforms worn from 1994-97, when mainstays such as Mark Price, Larry Nance and Brad Daugherty started to move on — and were replaced by the likes of Terrell Brandon, Chris Mills, Dan Majerle and the late Bobby Phills.
The black, orange and powder blue will be worn for select games, as will several other color schemes.

Of course, today’s Cavaliers are led by names such as coach John Beilein, power forward Kevin Love, center Tristan Thompson and second-year guard Collin Sexton. They are coming off a 19-63 season and unless the experts are shocked, won’t likely be headed back to the postseason.
But hey, they can look good, or at least look something like the days a lot of fans cherish, as they find their way through a modern retooling.
