The seeding games aren’t that important for the Nuggets, as they are in third place in the Western Conference standings. They have locked in a postseason berth, so the eight seeding games will help them knock off the rust that was created after such a long layoff.
With that said, Nuggets head coach Michael Malone would certainly like to see his team at full strength for a few of the seeding games, particularly the last ones before the 2020 playoffs start. Denver is trying to make a Finals run and the club will need Jamal Murray, Gary Harris and Will Barton to play at a high level.
Before the season was suspended in March, Murray was averaging 18.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game for the Nuggets. The 23-year-old was also shooting 45.5 percent from the field, 34.5 percent from beyond the arc and 89.3 percent from the free-throw line.
As for Harris, he was putting up 10.4 points per outing, while Barton was averaging 15.1 points and 6.3 boards prior to the NBA hiatus.
